=====Mushpup Development=====
Currently mushpup generates only alphanumeric passwords. While this is fine for most cases, some websites require more complex passwords using punctuation marks or make others demands like, in the case of [[http://signup.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=join myspace]], requiring at least one number in your password. Version 2 proposes to address these exceptional circumstances while still maintaining the essential simplicity and ease of use in Version 1.
~- expand [[MushpupNotation mushpup notation]] for greater versatility in creating and retrieving mushpup passwords

mushpup home edition
Currently mushpup generates only alphanumeric passwords. While this is fine for most cases, some websites require more complex passwords using punctuation marks or make others demands like, in the case of [[http://signup.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=join myspace]], beginning your password with a lowercase letter. Version 2 proposes to address these exceptional circumstances while still maintaining as much of the essential simplicity and ease of use as Version 1.
- complete compatability with version 1
- introduce [[MushpupNotation a standard notation]] for recording mushpup passwords while maintaining their secrecy
- toggle settings
====Mushpup Special Character Translations====
Some sites require the use of special characters (i.e., punctuation marks) in their passwords. To accommodate this requirement, but still maintain the effective simplicity of the mushpup system, version 2 of mushpup will offer an option for using punctuation marks. It will be quite simple and open. Characters at the following positions (counting from 0) will be replaced:
0,4,8,11,12,15,19,23
The translation will be simple:
0-9 -> !
A-G -> #
H-M -> %
N-S -> &
T-Z -> +
a-g -> ?
h-m -> -
n-s -> *
t-z -> =
It breaks no barriers in cryptology but allows mushpup compatibility with a wider range of sites.
